Community guidelines

Make room for other imaginations.

Fold is a collaborative storytelling game. Strange stories, fictional conflict and surprising turns are welcome. Treat the people writing with you with care.

• Do not harass, threaten, bully, impersonate, or target another person. Do not share someone else’s private information.
• No hate directed at protected groups, extremist recruitment, or encouragement of real-world violence or self-harm.
• No sexually explicit or exploitative material. Sexual content involving minors is prohibited.
• No graphic cruelty, torture or realistic gore. Non-graphic fictional conflict and suspense are welcome.
• No scams, spam, illegal transactions, or content you do not have permission to share.
• Invite people who want to participate. Respect publication consent and another player’s decision to block or leave.

Public stories are reviewed

Choosing Publish and getting every writer’s AI review consent sends the completed story to moderation after reveal. It stays off the public shelf until its complete text, title and prompt are reviewed against these guidelines. If every writer opts in, Anthropic AI reviews the submission, including public usernames. Clear stories can publish automatically. Flagged or uncertain stories, failed reviews, and stories too long for a complete AI review stay private for the operator to inspect. Without everyone’s AI consent, the story stays private and does not enter the review queue. AI can make mistakes; a flag is not a final rejection. Review does not guarantee publication. Contributors can withdraw consent at any time. Private rooms are not listed publicly; reports can still be investigated.

When something goes wrong

Report a public story from its reading page. Report or block a writer in Account → Privacy & safety. You can also email support@foldandpass.com with the story link or relevant room name. We can reject or remove public stories and suspend abusive accounts. Contact support if you believe a moderation decision was a mistake.
